In 2004 and 2005 I worked with my friend and colleague Arianna Sanesi on a project about Po River.
We walked for months and through the seasons along the path of Italy’s biggest river: once the shores were densely populated and people used to make a living by fishing or working in the fields. But now, what is left is mainly melancholy and abandon: almost everywhere a gloomy but enchanting atmosphere.
Eight years later, I wished to review all my films. A new editing was born, some shots remained, others are new.
